I’m looking for tix for 4ppl, from JFK to Fort Lauderdale, on Oct 16, coming back on Oct 19.

The airfare was $230.99 one day, then dropped to $200.00, now its back up to $245.50!!! Does this happen alot?

I am planning an upcoming trip to Florida for the end of October. I will be booking my flight through either expedia.com, travelocity, or a similar website to these.

I’ve been looking on these discount sites for some time and have noticed that the cost of airfare seems lower to book during the week and more expensive if I were to book during the weekend. Anybody else notice this? Anybody have any idea why?

…..after it has gone up? My friend and I are flying overseas together in February. I booked my ticket yesterday, but she hasn’t booked her ticket yet and today the airfare for this flight had gone up substantially since yesterday when I booked. Should she jump on it now before it goes up even more, or is it likely to drop again since it’s still 3 months away?

Southwest, for example, sells online only through their own web site and their airfare results will not show up in the popular search engines results (like expedia, etc.). It would be very convenient to have a web site that searches these web sites and brings up the results. Then you go directly to the airline web site and book your flight. There are a lot of airlines like Southwest that don’t participate with the big search engines such as Travelocity and expedia.
